Today I celebrate my 28th year of existence. It's been a somewhat contemplative year where life has taken almost every sombre moment and turned it around. It's not like I've been a shining rainbow on speed but it's left me much more appreciative of the people and things around me. Many a day, I wake up and I choose 'Happy' . If I had to choose one word to sum up the year, it would be refreshing . After 27, life sped on and turned amazing. Sure there were glitches and down days and simply awful things and memories, outgrowing of things and lots of rainy days but amazing things still happened in the year of 27. The year of 28 feels NEW .  It's like a clean slate and miles and miles of hope. Today I celebrate my last year of single-hood. It's supposed to be a milestone which I'm writing down to remember. I know it's just a number and people stop counting and stop remembering birthdays after 21 or so. But I'm honoured to be given 28. I&

I've been away for two days on a paradise island where the blues are bluer than blue and the greens a melodic hue. A place where the sky meets the sea which meets the sand, and the day begins with tiny drops, a light shower from the carefully shaped  clouds in the bright blue sky. After all that, the view of clusters and clusters of tall grey buildings with their rows of glass windows as I drive into KL startle me with its horrid sight. I still have a love-hate relationship with the city.

I just watched 'Bridesmaids' and I absolutely loved it! Hold On was one of the songs in the movie and they even got the real Wilson Phillips trio to appear in a cameo and perform in there! Wilson Phillips is an American vocal group that consist of the two Wilson sisters Carnie Wilson and Wendy Wilson and their friend Chynna Phillips. They were actually the best-selling female group in 1990! An awesome fact found in Wiki is that the Wilsons are the daughters of Brian Wilson from The Beach Boys while Phillips' parents are from The Mamas & the Papas. Hold On was probrably the most memorable song from them and I surprised myself when I jumped in and started singing along when it was played in the movie! Gosh the 90s.... I guess there were some good stuff from then. I'm gonna try and unearth a few more gems from that era. :D
