the LWD obsession

The little white dress is something that I've been looking for over the past couple of years. It's the one item that's clearly missing from my wardrobe creating that empty space and dark hole where a white floaty swishy dress should be.

In this Malaysian weather, a little white dress can take you anywhere - from the grocery store in flip flops to a weekend shopping spree in sandals to a wedding in metallic heels.

But people often think twice before purchasing a LWD due to poor fabric choices and the easy stain-ability. I thik there should be more linen like fabric choices around, or thick cotton that won't appear sheer in the bright Malaysian sun. (Unless you don't mind people spotting the I♥VS on your orange scanties)

And if you're a klutz like me, a travel sized stain remover works wonders for a quick fix if you happen to get your pretty little dress dirty.

Picture by Daniel Seliong The Tailor-Made Man is a powerful play and it's been awesome hearing the various accounts and reviews by people who caught it over the weekend. I didn't get the chance to watch it in its entirety but working behind-the-scenes on it brought a unique experience I never thought I'd have. I agreed to help out not because I'm amazing at theatre productions but I was there solely because Jason (JD) needed people to help with the play. Being a close friend and brother to me, I knew how much this production meant to him and decided that I would do all I could to help out. Little did I know, I would be in over my head! I joined the props and stage team where I felt my interest in crafting and designing could be put to use. Today I celebrate my 28th year of existence. It's been a somewhat contemplative year where life has taken almost every sombre moment and turned it around. It's not like I've been a shining rainbow on speed but it's left me much more appreciative of the people and things around me. Many a day, I wake up and I choose 'Happy' . If I had to choose one word to sum up the year, it would be refreshing . After 27, life sped on and turned amazing. Sure there were glitches and down days and simply awful things and memories, outgrowing of things and lots of rainy days but amazing things still happened in the year of 27. The year of 28 feels NEW .  It's like a clean slate and miles and miles of hope. Today I celebrate my last year of single-hood. It's supposed to be a milestone which I'm writing down to remember. I know it's just a number and people stop counting and stop remembering birthdays after 21 or so. But I'm honoured to be given 28. I&
